چکیده
The paper provides a novel technique for merging graphene nanoplatelets (GNPs) within aluminium matrix (AA 6061) by continuous drive friction welding (CDFW). processes were done at 1400 rpm and 2000 rotational speeds with two different frictional loads N 2500 5 sec 7 times. welded joints subjected to tensile hardness tests. heating-cooling cycles through the process monitored. microstructure investigation was performed using optical scanning electron microscopes (SEM). effect of conditions on ultimate strength (UTS) results AA 6061 6061/GNPs completely studied in details. There is no big detectable variation mean values due GNPs addition. best achieving highest mechanical properties defined. presence lower heating joint same conditions. Finer grain structure homogeneous distribution zone observed.

Experimental Investigations on Microstructural and Mechanical Behavior of Friction Stir Welded Aluminum Matrix Composite
The welding of materials by applying Friction Stir Welding technique is a new solid-state joining technique. The main advantage of this method compared to the traditional joining process is that it minimizes problem-related to metal resolidification as the method incorporates no melting phase. In this experimental work, the effect of friction stir welding (FSW) technique on the microstructu...
متن کاملThe Effect of Welding Energy on the Microstructural and Mechanical Properties of Ultrasonic-Welded Copper Joints
The effects of welding energy on the mechanical and microstructural characteristics of ultrasonic-welded pure copper plates were investigated. Complex dynamic recrystallization and grain growth occurred inside the weld zone during ultrasonic welding. At a low welding energy, a thin band of straight weld interfaces was observed and had an ultra-fine grain structure. With an increase in welding e...
متن کاملEffect of Different Welding Parameters on the Mechanical and Microstructural Properties of Stainless Steel 304H Welded Joints
In this research work, an attempt has been made to examine the different welding parameters which affect the weldability of 304H Austenitic stainless steel (ASS) welded joint using the proper filler wire. Chemical composition of filler wire was same as that of base metal. Further this study addressed the combined effect of various welding parameters on the metallurgical and mechanical propertie...
متن کاملInvestigating the Effect of Optimum Welding Parameters on the Microstructural and Mechanical Properties of St37 Steel and 316L Stainless Steel Welded by the Friction Stir Welding Process
In this research, St37 and 316L steel sheets were welded using friction stir welding (FSW) process and effective parameters such as the rotational speed, linear speed of the tool, pin diameter, and their appropriate values were studied. The microstructure, hardness, and strength of the different welding regions were investigated. It was observed that in the stir zone (SZ), a mechanical operatio...
متن کاملEffect of Welding Parameters in the Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Friction-Welded Joints of 100Cr6 Steel
In this study, high-carbon, chromium alloy steel (100Cr6) having the initial spheroidized microstructure was welded using the rotary friction welding method. The effects of process parameters such as friction time and friction force were experimentally investigated. The friction welded joints were produced of two 100Cr6 steel rods. In order to examine the microstructure and mechanical properti...
